Board & Play
Going out of town for a few days or a few weeks? Bring your pup to Texas Doghouse for their boarding stay and they'll have as much fun on their vacation as you do on yours!
Our boarding guests must fulfill the same requirements as the daycamp dogs. Boarding here is tons of fun. We offer an open concept all-day group play environment. Your dog will have the freedom to play with his friends in daycamp for most of the day and enjoy sleeping in one of our comfortable boarding accommodations at night. Overnight space is limited so make sure to book well in advance of a trip.
Fresh filtered water is always available in our indoor/outdoor play areas. We encourage owners to bring their own food, toys, and treats to keep pups feeling at home and to keep them from any potential tummy upset. However, we are happy to administer our own food free of charge if you forget your kibble. Woof and goodnight!
We recommend the following to make your dog's visit as comfortable as possible:
DROP OFF TIMES: Please drop your dog off in the morning. Naptime is between 12pm-2pm. We do NOT allow drop offs/pick ups between 12pm-2pm because it is disruptive to our doggie campers who are napping. Please, PLEASE try to get your boarder to the daycamp as early as possible. He/She will have a much better night if a full day of play is enjoyed. He/She will eat better and sleep better and we don’t charge any differently if you come in early vs. late.
PICK UP TIMES: You may pick up at any time except between 12pm-2pm. If you haven't picked up by 12pm you will be charged for an additional 1/2 day of daycamp ($15).
FOOD: You are welcome to bring your own food and treats for your dogs stay, however we do ask that you bring all food in individual zipper bags pre-measured for each meal to ensure that we give them the proper measurement and that they have enough food for their entire stay. Please put the same amount of food in bags for breakfast and dinner. If your pup needs a different amount, we will measure it out for them and you can just bring their food in an airtight container. We are also happy to administer our high quality house food at no additional cost to you. We will feed based on your instructions and can handle most special needs: refrigerated or micro-waved meals, special mixing or additions, just let us know. Remember, dogs are much more active than usual when they stay with us, so, you may want to consider feeding at least two times per day and slightly increasing your pup's normal portion. Please DO NOT add medicine to zipper bags of food, we will give any medicine needed directly to your dog.
BEDDING/TOYS/TREATS: You are welcome to bring your dogs bedding, toys and treats...or something that smells like home, but please limit it to 3 items. We do ask that all bedding be FULLY washable in hot water and able to fit into a regular size washing machine. No oversized beds (even if the case comes off, because the pillow part will need to be cleaned if there is an accident), comforters, quilts or sleeping bags please. Although we will do our best to ensure that belongings are not lost, we cannot be held responsible for any items left with your dog.
MEDICATION: We can administer any oral or topical medication on any needed schedule. We cannot administer injections. All medications/supplements must be in original packaging with only enough medication for your pup's stay. All medication should come with clear written instructions, including the reason for administration. A small amount of our treat will be administered with each medication, unless otherwise instructed by the owner.
