What is Board & Play?
At Texas Doghouse, we have an open concept all-day group play environment (Doggie Daycare), so the dogs that are here for boarding only retire to their climate-controlled bunks for meals, naps, and bedtime. Every dog that comes here for boarding receives doggie daycamp and a lot more at no extra charge.

Many or most pet boarding facilities charge additional fees for extra things like medication, playtime, pool time, personalized food, petting your dog, throwing the ball for your dog, etc. We have loved dogs and have had dogs of all kinds our entire lives. We have also visited many Pet Care Facilities across the USA as customers with our own dogs and could never imagine charging our valued customers extra for services we are honored to provide for your pup. We have taken the things we liked best from all the places we've been and designed a business model that raises the standard for Pet Care. Therefore, at Texas Doghouse we will never charge for "extras". Every dog that comes here for boarding receives all-day Daycamp, quality time, cuddling, potty breaks, pool time and a lot more at no extra charge. We are an All-Inclusive facility.
Fresh filtered water is always available in our
indoor/outdoor play yards. We encourage owners to bring their own food, toys,
and treats to keep pups feeling at home. However, we are happy to administer
our own food free of charge if you forget your kibble.
What are
Bunks?
We prefer the word bunks as opposed to kennels, since we are so different than
a traditional kennel. We offer 4'x4'X5' open top bunks and various sizes of
homestyle crates. If your dog is not comfortable with either of these options,
they can sleep in our large indoor playroom for an additional charge (only dogs
from the same family will be together in the room overnight). Please let the
Pack Leader know when making your reservation if you prefer this option. Woof
and goodnight!

We recommend bringing the following items to make your dog's visit as comfortable as possible:
FOOD: It is best to keep your dog on their own diet to avoid any strain on their digestive system, however, we are happy to administer our food at no additional cost to you. We will feed based on your instructions and can handle most special needs: refrigerated or micro-waved meals, special mixing or additions, just let us know. Remember, dogs are much more active than usual when they stay with us, so, you may want to consider feeding at least two times per day and slightly increasing your pup's normal portion.
BEDDING: Or something that smells like home. If your dog has a tendency to tear up and ingest bedding, you may want to try a raised platform bed or skip the bedding altogether. We do ask that all bedding be washable and able to fit into a regular size washing machine. No oversized beds, comforters, quilts or sleeping bags please.
TOYS: You are welcome to bring toys, but please limit it to one or two of your pups favorite toys.
TREATS: Like chocolates on your pillow at a fine hotel, we love to put out a few treats on their beds at night or whenever you'd like us to offer them.
MEDICATION: We can administer almost any medication on any needed schedule. We cannot administer injections. Please let us know if your dog has any allergies as we often use peanut butter or cheese when giving pills. ALL medications/supplements MUST be in original packaging.
